In Cadence of Hyrule, you’ll need to get and use Tingle’s Dowser in order to find the correct path out of the Lost Woods. Without Tingle’s Dowser, you’re doomed to wander aimlessly through the same areas of the Lost Woods over and over again. While Tingle’s Dowser is relatively straightforward to get, using it can be a bit of a challenge.

How to Use Tingle’s Dowser in Cadence of Hyrule

In order to find the correct path out of the Lost Woods, you’ll need to get and learn how to use Tingle’s Dowser in Cadence of Hyrule. Given that it’s an item to help you through the Lost Woods, it makes sense that you’d obtain Tingle’s Dowser in the Lost Woods area. As you explore the Lost Woods, look for a tree stump with a door opening.
Enter, and you’ll find Yves, the Deku Scrub as well as Tingle (who’s fast asleep). To wake Tingle, look at the music puzzle in the right-hand corner of the room. Attack the statue to roll a large boulder forward onto a nearby play button. With the play button activated, a song will play, and notes will be shown in a specific order.
Once this song completes, it'll begin again, and you'll need to walk around the room to the exact time of the song beat. When the notes play, you move. When there's a pause, you pause. If done correctly, you'll wake Tingle. Grateful for your help in waking him, Tingle will reward you with Tingle’s Doswer. Equip this item to one of your four main slots, then head out of the tree stump into the Lost Woods.
Around you are four different directions. Hold down the button you’ve assigned Tingle’s Dowser and walk towards these exits. As you near the correct exit, your Joy-Cons will vibrate, indicating you’re heading in the right direction. Follow the correct direction into the next area, then repeat the process. It may seem like you’re still lost, but you’ll know you’re doing this correctly when the enemy types in each area change.
Continue using Tingle’s Dowser to find the correct path out of the four direction options in each area, and you’ll eventually stumble across the Lost Swamp area. Look for the Sheikah Stone to save the Lost Swamp for future Fast Travel, and you’re set!
