New Team Fortress 2 VR mode Meat Fortress takes aim at hot dogs

Meat Fortress for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades is a TF2-themed VR mode, apparently.

Meat Fortress for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, a new VR mode styled on Valve's Team Fortress 2, was revealed on the E3 livestream today.

Just before today's PC Gaming Show, a weird VR experiment with Valve's 2008 class-based multiplayer shooter that just won't die was shown to the world with a first-person take on killing hot dogs dressed as various mercenaries from the TF2 squad. The game is a mode within Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, which is currently available on the Steam VR storefront for $19.99, but clearly has the blessing of Valve.

The UploadVR E3 VR Showcase stream saw rocket-jumping, free aiming and more of the usual FPS hijinks that VR can provide, in familiar cartoony surroundings, but with all the mercs transformed into ballpark snacks.

We'll have a trailer just as soon as we verify we weren't dreaming it all up.
