In an official statement from Activision and Infinity Ward, cross-play will be available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. “With the launch of Modern Warfare, the team is taking steps to unite the community. First, the team plans for Modern Warfare to be played together across PC and console through cross-play support.”

For those concerned about aimbots on PC, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available on Battle.net (as reported by Shacknews) rather than Steam or the Epic Game Store. While we still have several questions on how cross-play will work in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the fact that it’ll be available at all is groundbreaking as it’s the first title in the franchise to offer the feature.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled to release on October 25, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Battle.net client. After learning that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will support cross-play between console and PC, what are your thoughts?
