If you're jumping into Dauntless today you might want to invite your friends to the party. The free-to-play Monster Hunter-like goes out on consoles and the Epic Game Store today and offers co-op beast bashing with cross-play as well.
To play Dauntless with friends on PC, PS4 or Xbox you'll need to know where to look for them and how to get started. Here's how to invite your friends to party in Dauntless.
How to invite friends to Dauntless party
Dauntless has gone through a few iterations of the social menu throughout its early access days. There's now a bit more signposting to help you get started in finding the social menu. On PC, hit the O key, and on PS4 hit the middle touchpad. On Xbox One controller it's the window-switching menu thing that doesn't have a good name. The left button that used to be Select, or Back. The one that isn't Start. Yeesh. Once the menu's up you'll be able to see your friends. On PC, it'll pull through your Epic friend list, so you can invite all your Fortnite buds to the Dauntless party, too. On other consoles it'll use your PSN or Xbox friend lists.
Hit the friend you want to invite and you'll see this menu. From there you'll add them to party, don't worry if they don't load into your shared hub world of Ramsgate, just choose which Behemoth you want to hunt down and they'll be pulled into the lobby with you once it finds a server to host you on.
Now you've got your team ready and invited friends to your Dauntless party, you're all set to get out there and learn how to interrupt Behemoths and stagger them.
