WipEout Omega Collection getting free VR update in 2018

A little bit of news from PlayStation Experience.

WipEout Omega Collection will receive a free update that adds PlayStation VR support early next year, Sony announced at PlayStation Experience this weekend.

We also got a nice trailer that helps simulate the experience of someone peering this way and that in the cockpit of one of the game's racing ships.

In addition to the cockpit view with head-tracking, the update will add full 3D audio.

We went into PlayStation Experience half-expecting another Paris Games Week-style conference full of trailers and first looks, but in the end Sony went for a more conversational chat-show style approach that caught a few viewers off-guard. This wasn't a bad tidbit, of course, but we do feel for anyone outside the US who stayed up late to watch...
