Where to get Fuel in Days Gone

Stock up Deacon's motorbike with Fuel by learning where to get this important resource in Days Gone.

In Days Gone, players have begun asking where to get more Fuel for Deacon’s motorbike. As one of the most important resources you can scavenge in Days Gone, it makes sense that Fuel would be hard to come by. What’s more, it can be easy to deplete your Fuel supply if you’re not careful, as it’s not immediately clear how Fuel is used in Days Gone.

To help, we’ve put together a full guide explaining where to get Fuel and what it’s used for in Days Gone!

Where to Get Fuel in Days Gone

Fuel can be found in the form of red gas cans, or can be purchased from mechanics in Days Gone.

In Days Gone, there are a variety of ways to get Fuel for Deacon’s motorbike. The first, and cheapest way to get Fuel, is by scavenging for it. Throughout the explorable area of Days Gone, Fuel can be found in the form of red gas cans. If you spot these red gas cans in the wild, you’ll want to take the time to stop and interact with them in order to collect Fuel.

Keep in mind that Fuel is a rare resource, which means you won’t see too many of these red gas cans floating around in Days Gone. To make things a bit easier, there are symbols on your map that indicate Fuel locations. Ce sure to use these if you’re scoping out a new area to find out whether or not you can pick up some extra Fuel.

In the event that you’re really strapped for Fuel, you can also purchase some. To buy Fuel, you’ll need to head over to spots like Iron Mike’s camp, or Copeland. There, you’ll be able to speak with mechanics to upgrade Deacon’s bike, or buy Fuel in exchange for Credits. While speaking with the mechanics, wait for a Refuel prompt for your bike.

Hold Square on your PlayStation 4 controller, and you’ll exchange Credits to refuel Deacon’s bike. While this option can be useful, we still recommend picking up red Fuel cans as often as you can in Days Gone to reduce the likelihood of you spending Credits on Fuel. To refuel your bike with Fuel you’ve picked up, simply hold on to the red Fuel can and approach your bike.

When prompted, hold Circle on your PlayStation 4 controller to begin the refuel process. Again, if you spot a red Fuel can, it’s never a bad idea to take a few moments to refuel Deacon’s bike. In addition to standard exploration, you’ll use Fuel in Days Gone as a sort of travel currency. What we mean is that, if you want to Fast Travel to a location you’ve previously discovered, you’ll need to spend Fuel in order to do so.

Almost everything you do in Days Gone will require you to have Fuel in Deacon’s bike in some capacity. As such, knowing how to get Fuel (by picking up red Fuel cans or purchasing it from mechanics at camp locations) is extremely important in Days Gone.
