How to Grapple in One Piece World Seeker

Learn how to master the Grapple mechanic in One Piece World Seeker.

In One Piece World Seeker, one of the main draws is arguably the Grapple mechanic. Using Grapple, you can travel between different points in and around areas like Jail Island. The game’s trailer does a lot to highlight this ability, but little to explain it. As such, players who jump into the game will likely want to learn how to use Grapple.

Unfortunately, Grapple isn’t immediately available. Instead, you’ll need to play through the opening tutorial in order to unlock Grapple. To help simplify everything, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining how to use Grapple in One Piece World Seeker!

The Grapple mechanic is one of the coolest features available in One Piece World Seeker, though you’ll need to play through the game’s opening tutorial in order to unlock it. This shouldn’t be too challenging, and the game doesn’t give you much of a choice when it comes to the tutorial. Take the time and play through this tutorial as not only will basic gameplay components be explained, but also the Grapple mechanic.

In the Grapple section, the game shows you the markers you need to keep an eye out for, as these are what you’ll use to lock on to in order to begin your Grapple. To do this, look at the marker, then press RB on Xbox One or R1 on PlayStation 4. As Luffy reaches out to the marker, you’ll begin your Grapple. Continue to look for other markers, all of which should be in close proximity to the first marker you used to Grapple.

With Grapple, you can quickly move around the game, and have a ton of fun doing so. You can also use Grapple in combat, though this option won’t be immediately available. Instead, you’ll need to open up your Skills menu, then scroll to the bottom until you spot Lunge. As long as you have 200 Skill Points on hand, you’ll be able to unlock Lunge which lets you use Grapple in combat.

There are other aspects to this ability, all of which can be unlocked in exchange for Skill Points. The more Skill Points you have on hand, the more you’ll be able to improve your Lunge capabilities in One Piece World Seeker.
