In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, players have the opportunity to collect different forms of in-game currency, including SHD Tech. Unlike microtransaction currency, like Premium Credits, SHD Tech can be earned for free simply by playing The Division 2. Once you’ve earned enough SHD Tech, you can use it to unlock new Skills and Perks which can further help you advance through the game.
Struggling to get your hands on SHD Tech? No worries, we’ve got you covered! Below, we’ll walk you through how to get SHD Tech and what it’s used for in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
How to Get SHD Tech in
The Division 2
There are a variety of different ways to earn SHD Tech in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. In our opinion, the easiest way to get SHD Tech is by working your way through the game’s Story Mode. Note that if you’re short on time and are uninterested in sitting through story cutscenes, you can skip past them in The Division 2.
Story Mode aside, SHD Tech can be earned whenever you level up your character, complete qualifying Side Missions (many of which award a whopping 5 SHD Tech), and working your way through various SHD Cache locations. To discover new SHD Cache locations, you’ll want to visit new Safe Houses and interact with the tables inside.
In doing so, new SHD Cache locations will be revealed to you which you can complete at your leisure. As an added bonus for visiting Safe Houses, you’ll also be able to easily Fast Travel around the map in The Division 2, as Fast Travel is relegated to locations you’ve previously visited. With SHD Tech on hand, head back to the White House and speak with the Quartermaster to exchange it for new Perks and Skills.
One Perk we recommend spending SHD Tech on relates to your Stash. By spending SHD Tech, you can increase the overall storage capacity of your Stash, which comes in handy as you earn new gear in
