In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, players have the ability to help one another out by accepting “agent needs backup” messages. For those that are busy doing their own thing, or who are uninterested in participating in the “agent needs backup” system, it can be worthwhile to learn how to disable the notifications.

Fortunately, it’s relatively easy to disable these messages. First, head over to your Settings menu in The Division 2 by pressing Options on PlayStation 4, Menu on Xbox One, or Esc on PC. In Settings, select Gameplay, scroll until you find the “On Call Status” option, then toggle the option to turn the “agent needs backup” messages off in The Division 2.

Once you’ve turned these messages off, you won’t receive any additional “agent needs backup” notifications. If you decide you want to help out other players, you can always turn the option back on by repeating the steps listed above. Overall, it’s nice to have the opportunity to help other players in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, but not everyone is going to want to drop everything they’re doing whenever an “agent needs backup” message appears.
