How to get the Service Revolver in Destiny 2

Do your duty and learn how to get the Service Revolver, one of Destiny 2's Legendary Hand Cannons.

The Service Revolver is far from a new weapon in Destiny 2, introduced way back in Season 3 for the game. However, with the arrival of Joker’s Wild: Season of the Drifter, this Legendary Hand Cannon has received somewhat of a rework, now receiving random rolls for all of its perks when it drops. Suddenly, an old weapon has become a tempting proposition, and many players are wondering how to get the Service Revolver again. Don’t worry if you didn’t pick it up first time round, in this guide we’ll take you through all the steps required to get the Service Revolver in Destiny 2.

The old Service Revolver had a static set of perks, and if you already picked it up in Season 3 then you’ll be able to purchase it again from your Collections. The bad news is that you’ll only be able to buy the version with the fixed perks. Fortunately though, if you’ve already unlocked it then it’ll be available as a potential drop from Vanguard Strikes. All you need to do is play a bunch of them and hope that you earn it as a drop. If you do receive it, check the perks yours has and see if you’re happy or not. You can always keep grinding in the hope of another drop with better perks.

If this is your first time getting the Service Revolver, you’ve got a longer path ahead of you. To unlock the weapon, you need to complete the Season 6: Completions Triumph. You can find this Triumph in the Vanguard tab, where it’ll challenge you to complete 40 strikes from the Vanguard strike playlist. Blimey, that’ll definitely take a while, but when you finish all 40 you’ll complete the Triumph.

With the Triumph complete, head to Zavala who’ll sell the gun to you. Remember though, the one you purchase will have fixed perks, so after that you’ll need to start grinding through more Vanguard Strikes to earn the random roll perk version. It’s also worth mentioning that you need to complete this Triumph during Season 6, or you might be left waiting for another chance for the weapon to cycle round again.
