Epic Games release new Fortnite Season 7 teaser

Ice, ice, baby.

On Twitter, Epic Games teased the upcoming release of Fortnite Season 7 with an interesting new promo image. In the image, you can see what appears to be a silhouette comprised of sharp ice that spikes up into a crown, two ice shards in the form of eyes, and an internal starry sky complete with what appears to be an aurora.

You can also see someone snowboarding down the right side silhouette. Perhaps this suggests a new snowboard item, or even a new limited mode. Along with the image, the tweet states: "A bitter ice spreads... 3 days to Season 7." From what we can gather based on the image and text, Fortnite Season 7 will likely feature some type of winter theme and will include, among other things, new winter cosmetics.

Personally, we’re rooting for an ice crown or icy pickaxe to throw our V-Bucks at. Until Fortnite Season 7 launches on Thursday, December 6, all we can do is speculate. Considering how The Game Awards are also airing on December 6, Epic Games may have additional promotional content planned.

For example, a Fortnite Season 7 trailer or even a complete Fortnite Season 7 breakdown. As such, we highly recommend tuning in to The Game Awards on December 6, and following the Fortnite Twitter account to stay up-to-date on all the latest Fortnite news. Some outlets have noted the image could also hint at a new enemy type, or even a new partnership like the Fortnite x Marvel mashup from earlier in the year.

While both of these scenarios are certainly possible, we have a feeling the image points more towards original cosmetics with an edgy, winter aesthetic. What’s more, it could pertain to items added a few months ago like the Chiller trap. Based on the new Fortnite Season 7 teaser, will new cosmetic designs be revealed, or can players expect something more? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below!
