How to pick up and move your C.A.M.P. in Fallout 76

Sometimes you just need a change of scenery, so why not learn how to pick up and move your C.A.M.P. in Fallout 76?

Building bases in Fallout 76 is pretty good fun, right up until you realize just how terrible the location you happily established yourself in is. Why didn’t I set up close to resources? It’ll take me how long to reach the other side of the map? Why did no one tell me setting camp next to deathclaws was a bad idea!? All valid questions, but before panic sets in let us remind you that your C.A.M.P. isn’t permanent and can be picked up and moved as often as you like. In this guide we’ll teach you just that, explaining how to pick up and move your C.A.M.P. in Fallout 76.

If you’ve discovered the perfect spot for a base but have placed your C.A.M.P. already, don’t dismay. Moving your C.A.M.P. is as simple as whipping out your Pip Boy and hitting L1/LB while in the Modify menu. Rather than packing up one part of the base and starting all over from scratch, this will instead relocate your base to the new location. Each time you move your camp your Pip Boy will keep a blueprint of the design at the time it was moved, allowing you to recreate it with ease.

The first time you move your camp it’ll cost you a measly 5 Caps, but be warned that each subsequent move will increase the price. It’s hardly a huge investment, but one that should make you think carefully about your locations before you commit to a move. At later stages in the game you’ll have to move your camp or waste a long time travelling to reach your stash in older zones, so make sure you’ve got enough Caps to pay for the required moves.

That’s all you need to know on how to move your C.A.M.P. but there are plenty of other activities waiting for you around Appalachia. Our Fallout 76 guides can help you find a Hazmat Suit, Power Armor, or even just the wood you need to set up your base proper.
