In Red Dead Redemption 2, players have the opportunity to find and collect Cigarette Cards including the Amazing Inventions set. Note that before you begin collecting Cigarette Cards, you’ll first need to pay a visit to an eccentric collector by the name of Phineas T. Ramsbottom. Phineas T. Ramsbottom can be found smoking it up at Flatneck Station in New Hanover.

By interacting with Phineas T. Ramsbottom, you’ll be able to unlock a quest called Smoking and Other Hobbies. After that, explore the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 and collect all Cigarette Cards you stumble across. Once you complete a set, you can return to Phineas T. Ramsbottom and sell them in exchange for money, with the Amazing Inventions set netting you a cool $100 reward.

As stated above, there are 12 different Cigarette Cards in the Amazing Inventions set. To find these cards, you’ll need to head out into the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 and keep your eye open for collectibles. Due to their small size, it can be difficult finding Cigarette Cards, especially those that comprise the Amazing Inventions set. To help, we’ve listed the exact locations of each card down below!

  • American Inventions Card #1 (Steam Locomotive): The first American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Steam Locomotive and can be found by traveling South from Lemoyne until you encounter a church near the Bolger Glade area of Red Dead Redemption 2. Enter the church, climb to the top floor, jump over to the platform, and investigate a bird’s nest to collect Card #1 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #2 (Camera): The second American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Camera and can be found in Saint Denis. To collect this card, make your way North through the city until you reach the block that’s directly above the second “N” in Saint denis. There, you’ll want to look around for a Photo Studio shop. Near this shop, there’s a building with a balcony and on that balcony is Card #2 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #3 (Electrical Execution Apparatus): The third American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts an Electrical Execution Apparatus and can be found by traveling North from West Elizabeth. To collect the card, you’ll need to head to a homestead North of Little Creek River close to the Ambarino border on your map. Enter the homestead and search under a set of bunk beds to collect Card #3 of the American Inventions set in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • American Inventions Card #4 (Typewriter): The fourth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Typewriter and can be found in the West Elizabeth area. To collect this card, head into Blackwater near the “E” in Blackwater on your map. Here, there’s a warehouse and on a barrel near the entrance, you’ll find Card #4 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #5 (Buck’s Revolver): The fifth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts Buck’s Revolver and can be found in Annesburg. To collect this card, head to the Gunsmith’s Shop in Annesburg and explore the shop to find Card #5 of the American Inventions set in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • American Inventions Card #6 (Telegraph): The sixth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Telegraph and can be found in New Hanover. To collect this card, you’ll need to travel West of the Van Horn Trading Post. By following the train tracks up North, you’ll eventually encounter a platform. Explore a bench on this platform to find Card #6 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #7 (Manned Glider): The seventh American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Manned Glider and can be found West of Saint Denis. To collect this card, head West over the river near Saint Denis near Galiga Hall. Eventually, you’ll stumble across a barn. Enter and explore the barn to find Card #7 of the American Inventions set in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • American Inventions Card #8 (Dynamite): The eighth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts Dynamite and can be found to the South of Lemoyne. To collect this card, make your way South until you discover Shady Belle. This is a property that sits near the Lannahechee River to the East of Bolger Glade on your map. Investigate the porch of Shady Belle to find Card #8 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #9 (Cylinder Phonographs): The ninth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Cylinder Phonograph and can be found in Valentine. This one is actually the easiest American Inventions card to find. To collect this card, simply enter the Saloon in Valentine and investigate the window ledge on the left that overlooks Main Street. There, you’ll be able to find Card #9 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #10 (Player Piano): The tenth American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Player PIano and can be found in Saint Denis. Like the card found in Valentine’s Saloon, this card can be collected by entering the Saloon in Saint Denis. Investigate the piano in the Saloon, and you’ll be able to find Card #10 of the American Inventions set in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • American Inventions Card #11 (Electric Light Bulb): The eleventh American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts an Electric Light Bulb and can be found to the North of Roanoke Valley. To collect this card, make your way North on the road out of Roanoke Valley until you find a building with boxes behind it. Investigate these boxes, and you’ll find Card #11 of the American Inventions set.
  • American Inventions Card #12 (Fountain Pen): The twelfth and final American Inventions Cigarette Card depicts a Fountain Pen and can be found in the town of Lemoyne. To collect this card, head to Lemoyne and explore the area north of the “O” in Lemoyne as reflected on your map. Here, there’s a small school. Investigate the desks in this school, and you’ll find Card #12 of the American Inventions set in Red Dead Redemption 2.
