How to clean up Arthur's act with a bath in Red Dead Redemption 2

It's important for a cowboy to keep clean in RDR2, so make sure you learn how to wash.

Cowboys aren’t just judged on their quick reflexes and marksmanship in Red Dead Redemption 2, they're also judged on their appearance. Unfortunately for Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang, 1899 America is a dusty, dirty, and often bloody place. As a result, keeping clean can be a rather tricky affair. However, taking a bath every once in a while is important to your street cred, so make sure you know how to wash away any blood and dirt before you go around gunslinging.

How to wash and take a bath in RDR2

Washing off the dirt of the day in Red Dead Redemption 2 is not only incredibly easy, it’s also very affordable. Simply saddle up and head over to the nearest town and locate a hotel. Once inside, the hotel owner will give you a list of all the services they offer. Renting a room only costs $1, while taking a bath will set you back just $0.25. Even early-game Arthur Morgan has enough money to enjoy a splash in the tub every once in a while, so don’t be afraid to take the plunge whenever you need a quick spruce up.

Once you’ve paid your fare head over to the room with the bath icon on it. Entering the designated room will then initiate a cinematic where Arthur has the option to either wash himself or pay an extra $0.50 to have someone come in and do the dirty work for him. When the bath is over Arthur will emerge from the room looking like a new man. Even his dirtied clothes have been scrupulously scrubbed and made to look brand new. If you want to look your finest in Red Dead Redemption 2, then a trip to the tub is absolutely essential.
