Call of Duty Black Ops 4 releases this weekend, bringing with it the first AAA-studio-developed battle royale mode to hit retail shelves: Blackout. COD's signature run-and-gun playstyle mixes with on-the-go perks for a fast and fluid firefight experience, and the production value that comes with a studio of Treyarch's size should make for the smoothest, bug-free battler yet. But there's also an even bigger difference for some battle royale fans: a $60 entry fee.

For anyone still on the fence about whether Blackout is the battle royale for them, this is the best way to take part in the excitement of the launch without committing to a mode they might not click with.
