To get a Ray Gun in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta, you’ll want to start by landing near the Asylum. Items, including the Ray Gun, drop at random. However, players have reported having more luck acquiring a Ray Gun in areas such as the Asylum. After landing near Asylum, proceed to investigate inside, and the surrounding area including the graveyard to the south side of the grounds.

Have you noticed a blue beam in the sky above you while playing Blackout? This is another way in which you can pick up a Ray Gun in Blackout as the blue beam denotes that a Mystery Box is nearby. Pursuing the Mystery Box can be a risk vs. reward scenario as nearby players may also be called to the Mystery Box.

You’ll need to be quick when going after Mystery Boxes in Blackout, and prepared to fight off other players. Mystery Boxes are worthwhile because they guarantee a Level Three piece of armor and a weapon like the Titan LMB or yes, a Ray Gun if you’re lucky. Even if you don’t get to the Mystery Box itself, Mystery Boxes are typically surrounded by zombies.

When trying to get a Ray Gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, killing zombies is another viable option as the Ray Gun has a small chance of dropping from each zombie kill. Once you have your Ray Gun, you’ll note it’s a useful weapon not only against zombie hordes, but also against enemy players.
