To get Backpack Tokens in Spider-Man on PS4, you’ll need to find Backpacks. Unlike other collectibles in Spider-Man, Backpacks are among the easiest to find. Backpacks can be found throughout the explorable city of Spider-Man on PS4 and contain a variety of goodies, including Backpack Tokens. The more Backpack Tokens you have, the better the upgrades you’ll be able to purchase.
Finding Backpacks is pretty straightforward. For example, by activating surveillance towers in each map region, you’ll be able to track down collectibles in the area (including Backpacks). To do this, simply pull up your map, or refer to your mini-map to learn where nearby Backpacks are.
To grab Backpacks without using your map, you can also use R3 while exploring to view pillars of light that signify a collectible is close by. Note that these light pillars will eventually vanish, so you’ll need to reactivate R3 if you wish to continue tracking Backpacks this way. Using your Backpack Tokens, you’ll be able to purchase upgrades.
These upgrades include Gadgets, Gadget Upgrades, and Suit Mods, among other things. What’s more, Backpack Tokens are used to unlock additional suits.
