In Dragon Quest 11, your progress will routinely autosave on its own, though to manually save you’ll need to complete a few steps. To manually save in Dragon Quest 11, you’ll need to first visit either a Sacred Statue (located at camps, churches) or a church. At these two locations, either speak with a nearby priest, or locate an altar.

By interacting with a priest or altar, you’ll be given a menu of options. Select the option to give a “Confession.” By giving a Confession, you’ll be able to manually save your progress in Dragon Quest 11. Then, when you reload into Dragon Quest 11, you can select your most recent save and jump right back in where you left off. It’s worth noting there are other options that can be taken advantages of at church locations.

For example, you can select Divination to learn how much experience your party members need to level up. Selecting Resurrection gives you the ability to revive fallen party members, while Benediction removes curses, and Purification cures poisoning. Some of these options require money, and there are always other ways to do these things in Dragon Quest 11.

However, it’s nice to have these options available at the same spot where you manually save your progress. By visiting a church or Sacred Statue in Dragon Quest 11, interacting with a priest or altar, and giving a Confession, you’ll be able to manually save whenever the need arises!

By reading through this guide, you should now know how to manually save your progress in Dragon Quest 11.
