Viva Pinata, Battlemaniacs and Conker soundtracks now on vinyl

Rare teams up with iam8bit for funky retro stocking fillers.

If you're looking for something for that special person in your life this Christmas and they happen to be into Rare games (yes, this is a coded message to our other halfs), you might be interested by the news that the quirky British developer has teamed up with iam8bit to bring some of its games' classic soundtracks to vinyl.

The games in question are Battlemaniacs, Conker's Bad Fur Day and, one of our favorites, Viva Pinata, with some never-before-released content snuck onto the latter. Each comes in a beautiful custom sleeve and the records themselves look great too. The Viva Pinata ones come in sweet and sour colors, for example.

Check out the vinyl announcement on Rare's site for more details, or just head straight over to iam8bit to plug in your card number. Pre-orders go live on Black Friday. Each one comes with a digital soundtrack too.

This isn't the first collaboration between Rare and iam8bit, by the way - the duo have previously put together Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark vinyl, although those pieces have long since sold out.
