GRIP: Combat Racing revs up for November release

This Rollcage-inspired racer will drive you up the wall - literally!

Sci-fi combat racing game GRIP has been given a release date. The stomach-churning arcade game lands on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

Here it is in action, in a new trailer.

Those who remember the PlayStation 1 era will immediately spot the similarities with the 1999 game Rollcage. Much like that retro gem, GRIP sees you battling rival racers on hazardous alien planets, in a chunky space buggy. You're able to stick to walls and ceilings, allowing you to perform dizzying loops and jumps. Thanks to the unique design of your ride, it doesn't matter which way up you land - you'll just keep on truckin'.

Throw in some Mario Kart-style weaponry, as well as destructible interactive scenery, and you've got a eye-popping modern take on a classic game that never got the sequels it deserved. Roll on November.
