Polish games publisher 1C Company has revealed a new third-person action game due to be officially unveiled at Gamescom. Devil's Hunt sticks you in the middle of a war between angels and demons, with the fate of the human world in the balance.
You'll be playing as Desmond, a man cursed (or blessed) with demonic powers. You'll be able to use these to defeat enemies, and change form to get past obstacles, but risk damning yourself in the process. At some point, you'll need to pick a side - are you going to side with the angels and save the world, or give in to your demon urges and help to burn it all down?
There's not much to go on in that trailer, but Devil's Hunt is based on a fantasy novel by Polish author Paweł Leśniak and gaming has done pretty well out of Eastern European literary adaptations in the past. Here's hoping Devil's Hunt can live up to the high standard set by The Witcher, Metro 2033 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. We'll find out next year, when the game launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
