Hilariously violent physics game Mugsters launches this month

Splat aliens however you can.

Wacky B-movie sandbox game Mugsters is beaming down this month, on July 17 to be exact. It'll be out on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The game is the work of Finnish developer Reinkout Games, and is described as a combination of "Mad Max, Wile E. Coyote, Bugs Bunny and old sci-fi movies". Veteran UK indie studio Team 17, home to the Worms franchise, is handling publishing duties.

Your task is to save the world from alien invaders, but it's up to you how to go about this. Each sandbox level is filled with vehicles, hazards and weapons, as well as many things that explode. You can methodically work your way through a series of tasks on each of the game's islands, or just go crazy and blow everything up. Hmm, cathartic.

Dan has been playing games since the 1980s, and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon. Also, get off his lawn. You can contact him by email if you need to know exactly how to leave his lawn.
