Learn the solution to the bubble-filled Reflection Room puzzle in Mario Tennis Aces.

Mario Tennis Aces has now arrived, serving up some tense and fast-paced tennis action for players to dive into. Those who’ve been experimenting with the story mode for the game however will have found themselves playing some rather more unusual games than they might have expected. Mario Tennis Aces’ single-player is filled with wacky rules and puzzles to complete, and one in particular seems to be leaving people stuck: the Great Mirror Mystery Reflection Room. Don’t worry, we’ve got the solution to this challenge to have you on your way in no time. Read on for the solution to the Reflection Room puzzle in Mario Tennis Aces.

How to beat the Reflection Room puzzle

The Reflection Room sticks our hero Mario in front of a giant mirror with bubbles racing across the surface. To progress through the room you’ll need to hit a particular bubble with an accurate shot. Each time you strike a bubble, a sound will play. You’ll either hear a low tone when you hit the wrong bubble or a high, satisfyingly plinky noise when you hit the correct one. Strike the correct bubble and a star will appear on the ground, letting you perform a Zone Shot. Use this to hit the same bubble again and solve the puzzle. The bubbles are moving quite fast which can make them challenging to hit, but as long as you keep track of the correct bubble once you find it, it won’t be long before you manage to strike it. Don’t forget to use different types of shots including lobs to hit the ball at different heights when required.

You’ll need to complete this challenge three times before you’re allowed to move on to the next portion of the puzzle. Here, a clock will appear on the mirror along with several moving gears. In this case, all you need to do is hit each gear on the clock much like you did with the bubbles. Clearing one set of gears will bring up another, faster set. For the fastest gears you’ll need to use the Zone Shot and aim in front of the gear’s path in order to hit it, aiming where the gear is currently will cause your shot to miss. Complete this three times and you’ll unlock the path to the boss battle. Don’t worry if you fail from there, you won’t have to go back to the Reflection Room again.
