What Time Does Destiny 2 Come Out?

Find out the release time for Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 will be unlocking on our consoles on September 6, 2017, and while some players may have already received their physical copy of the game, the servers aren’t actually online yet – so we must all wait. Thankfully, Bungie have revealed the exact time we will be able to dig into Destiny 2!

Though Destiny 2 is still a week away, people have already uncovered all Exotic Armor and all Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2 - madness!

Destiny 2 Release Time

In Bungie latest update, they answered the burning question on every gamer’s lips: “What time does Destiny 2 come out?” According to Bungie, Destiny 2 comes out at midnight for your country. This means that, another country over on the other side of the world, may be playing Destiny 2 before you, or after you.

For instance, because New Zealand will be the first country to reach September 6 (12:01AM), they will be the first country to be online and playing Destiny 2. Australia will be next (that’s a little jump of joy for me over here), then over India and China, all of Europe, South America, and finally ending with North America and Canada.

Those of you on the West Coast of North America, do not worry, because as soon as it hits midnight on the East Coast, you’ll be able to play Destiny 2 despite it being something like 9PM on September 5. This is because Destiny 2 isn’t looking at specific timezones, but the country as a whole.

It’s probably best for you that you’re the last to play (hold up, let me explain), because New Zealand and Australia have fewer people, meaning we’ll get the servers nice and warm for you, and help Bungie iron out any server issues that might crop up. So really, you’re the lucky ones.

Yeah. I didn’t think that would work too well. Not long now though before the Destiny 2’s release time is upon us! Remember, Destiny 2 releases whenever the first part of your country hits midnight. While you wait, be sure to check out our Destiny 2 hub for everything about Destiny 2 – there are a lot of spoilers in there, so have fun!
