7 Features Gamers Want on the PS5

The PS5 needs these features to become the best console on the market.

4K Blu-Ray Drive

This seems to be a massive oversight on Sony’s part. The PlayStation 4, nor the PlayStation 4 Pro, has a 4K Blu-Ray drive. They just have a regular old Blu-Ray drive, which is still nice, but it can’t play UHD movies from a disc and it can’t play 4K from a disc – which is extremely surprising.

Sony was the proprietor of the Blu-Ray drive, they were the first console to have one in their system, beating out the Xbox 360. Now that the Xbox One S and Xbox One X have a 4K Blu-Ray drive, we think it’s time for the PlayStation 5 to follow suit.

With internet providers throttling speeds and net neutrality becoming a problem, physical media still has a place in the home, so it’s important that these platforms are supported. Couple this problem with the fact that digital licences can be revoked at any time, and physical media looks a lot better.
