T30
This is probably one of the few grinds I was upset to finish off. I played the American TD lines a fair while ago, and I didn’t know what to think of the T30 when approaching it. All I knew is that it was an American Tank Destroyer, and pretty much all the ones prior had been awful.
Well, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the T30 just worked. Its punishing 155mm gun can slap any uppity opponent back to their senses whenever they pipe up, and – unlike most TDs – it actually has a turret, a well armored one at that. This, in combination with its 10 degrees of gun depression, provides the T30 with surprising flexibility for a TD, and it plays more like a Heavy Tank with an up-tiered cannon. If you’re familiar with other Ridgeline Warriors like the T29, you’ll be well equipped to play the T30.
Unfortunately, when you’re not hulldown your hull armor is a very juicy target for just about anything Tier 7 and over, the 155mm isn’t too accurate, and the DPM is painfully poor – it can be really depressing to miss a shot in the T30 due to the absolutely horrific reload speed.
