T-34-1
Ranking 9th for Win Rate among all Tier 7 vehicles, but within the bottom 30% for frequency of occurrence, the T-34-1 proves itself to be a very potent vehicle within the right hands, while retaining its hipster status. Personally I loved my T-34-1 while playing through it, and nicknamed it the “KV-4 hunter” as I found a surprising number of dumb, oversized Soviet Super Heavies to farm in 1-on-1 engagements despite the tier difference.
The T-34-1 doesn’t have the greatest rate of fire, nor does it have good accuracy stats by any means. Looking at it on paper, it really doesn’t seem like anything special – but it is. The thing that makes the T-34-1 unique is the outstanding turret armor, practically unseen anywhere else within the mid-tiers, especially for a Medium.
Being able to get hull down, or simply side-hug your opposition due to the tiny profile of this vehicle, and deny any incoming damage is a very satisfying feeling. It also somewhat negates the need for good gun handling or DPM as you have all the time in the world to stop, aim, and pick apart your increasingly frustrated opposition in almost total safety.
