Slamming Microsoft at E3 2013

Back in 2013 when Microsoft first announced the Xbox One, they made the grave mistake of suggesting certain limitation on pre-owned games, as well as having the audacity of suggesting games needed to be played online. As you would assume, the internet reacted harshly to this information and all but stormed Microsoft's headquarters.

Sony quickly pivoted and landed a devastating counter-attack as Microsoft was still stumbling back to its feet. At E3 2013, barely holding back smirks and laughter, Jack Tretton took to the stage and announced that the PS4 would allow preowned games and would not require gamers to be online. It was a simple statement, but it sent shockwaves through the gaming world. It took Microsoft a long time to recover from that one, and some say they’re still a bit sore from that thrashing.
