Picking Your Target
I hear a lot of players saying “focus on the lowest health target” very often. The idea behind this is taking the easy targets out of the game first, reducing the number of guns firing back at you. Sounds good, but this isn’t actually always true.
What you should be doing is correctly reading the situation in order to determine who the optimum target is. That may be the lowest health target in many situations, but not always. If you’re driving, say, a Jagdpanzer E 100 and have an Object 140 with you, for example, and your choice of targets are a 200 health enemy and a 1200 health enemy, don’t shoot the 200 health target like a Muppet. Recognise that alpha damage is your tank’s main advantage, and that your ally is in the perfect vehicle for cleaning up low health tanks with his high rate of fire gun.
Similarly, if you find yourself in a 2v1 situation in your T-62A on full health, against a 200 health enemy and a 1200 health enemy, kill the lowest health target first. Your Tank’s specialises in DPM, so don’t let two enemies farm you at once by choosing to ignore the easy pickings.
