Best Maps for Brawling in World of Tanks

Trade blows from close range with thick steel and huge guns.

Stalingrad

Stalingrad is arguably the most dynamic brawling map featured here. I say this for two reasons:

The primary brawling area to the West of the map is split into two areas. The 2 line focuses more on poking at short-mid range, before eventually flanking round to the 3 line. This area is more for Assault Heavies and Support Heavies, as well as Tank Destroyers to keep the enemy pinned. The 3 line is a wider, more close-quarter area packed with buildings, rubble and other locations which enable a good brawl. Typically, the fight won’t be more than a few tank-lengths apart and is dictated by Super Heavies or tanks with strong turrets.

You then also have a separate brawling area to the East, around the F7 location. This is typically used more in the mid-to-late game by faster tanks (Mediums or Fast Heavies) for additional map control, though it’s high risk hence the need for high mobility.

That’s it for my personal list of the Best Brawling Maps in World of Tanks. Of course there are others, like Himmelsdorf, but I feel as though these maps have the best brawling experience, or brawling is most important on them compared to other maps. If you look at Himmelsdorf, for example, the game is generally dictated from the hill rather than the ‘banana lane’ on the 7 line. While the hill is still a brawl, traditional brawling tanks might struggle to get up there in time to be relevant to its outcome.
