First Four Campaigns are Free
There’s a lot coming to War Stories, with its four single-player (or coop) missions and Inon Zur leading the charge with music – it might make you question what size hole this going to burn in your wallet. Well rest assured, because this first drop of content is totally free.
During our interview with TJ Wagner, the Executive Producer and Creative Director of Wargaming Chicago and Baltimore, he expressed his efforts at keeping War Stories in-line with the currently established payment system:
The first four campaigns are all free. We want to see how players are using the content and what they ask for after they play it.
It’s weird to put a pay wall in the middle of a free-to-play game. I fought tooth and nail not to have that. I’d rather bring new players in and then monetize the same way the rest of the game monetizes. ‘Incentivize me in other ways to continue playing your game.’
While there’s nothing concrete yet about what you might be able to buy, it’s good to know that all this content is going to be free.
