Panther/M10
I’ve raved about the Panther/M10 a lot recently, but it fits the criteria here perfectly. Until recently, the Panther/M10 built a reputation for itself as the absolute worst thing you could possibly spend your money on. There was nothing good about it, and everything wrong with it.
Then, as described in my 7 Best Medium Tanks article, it received a huge buff in Update 9.17.1 which made it one of the best Tier 7 Mediums in the game, while also retaining its preferential matchmaking, meaning it’ll never see a Tier 9 game. I’d recommend anyone looking for a Tier 7 Premium to snatch one up while the consensus still deems it bad and underestimates its power.
