Top 5 Things World of Tanks Players Hate

Join me while I vent about the on-going shenanigans in World of Tanks.

Quitting Early

Certain players love to stroke their ego while abusing other players in chat for not being particularly good at the game, or just because they take pixel tanks a bit too seriously. An external modification that largely enables this kind of behavior is, unfortunately, XVM. Now you might have noticed from some of my screenshots or GIFs that I use XVM, and that’s very true. I personally defend it as a useful modification which allows you to roughly determine the strength of players on your team and the enemy team.

Unfortunately, like anything, it’s abused by the occasional idiot in chat who instead sees XVM statistics as a flawless indication of whether you should bother even playing a game. They almost always inform their team in advance that they’re going to quit out on them in a holier-than-thou fashion, accompanied by some profanity, before ultimately leaving.

I, and many others, detest players who do this. By quitting the game as soon as it starts you don’t improve your chances of winning, you instead put a deficit on everyone else on your team while also guaranteeing that you’re not going to get anything out of a game. Thankfully XVM recently removed the “win chance” aspect of their mod, but abusers will continue their toxicity regardless. Needless to say, don’t be that guy.
