Splitting ammo in PUBG allows you to quickly and easily pass around and share ammo with your friends. It’s also a useful way of getting rid of excess ammo that you just don’t need to carry anymore. Whatever your reasons, splitting ammo in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a sinch.
How to Split Ammo
To split ammo in PUBG, simply hold the left CTLR button while left-clicking and dragging the chosen ammo to the left-side of your screen. Once hovering over the left-hand side, release the keys and you will be prompted to enter an amount.
Enter the amount of ammo you wish to split, the number you enter will be how much ammo you drop on the ground. A good idea, if you’re sharing with teammates, is to give them half of your ammo – presuming they have none. Whenever your teammates have ammo, it means more people can shoot. When you’re team is decked out with gear, you have a better chance of winning.
Splitting ammo is also important if you do not have enough space to pick up more items, such as attachments or more ammo for a primary weapon. Consider whether you really need those 100 rounds of 0.45 ACP ammo for your pistol, and maybe throw some of them on the ground. Unless of course you’re rocking a Vector.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds continues to grow, with new weapons being added every month (be sure to check out our PUBG all weapons and stats guide), so there may be some changes to ammo splitting in the future. However, as it stands, the best way to split ammo is to type in the number rather than clicking the buttons in the dialogue box.
