The Best Ridgeline Warriors in World of Tanks

These tanks skirt the peaks and valleys like no other.

STB-1

Finally we reach Tier 10, and in second place we have the very often forgotten Japanese Medium Tank the STB-1. When it comes to ridge work the STB-1 is the uncontested victor among the more mobile classification of tanks.

With a very small profile, decently bouncy turret, immense DPM trumping any other 105mm medium tank in the game, and 10 degrees of gun depression the STB is able to position itself wherever necessary and rain merciless hellfire down on its opposition while minimalising exposure to enemy fire itself.

Kranvagn

And last but certainly not least, we have the best ridge line warrior in the game. The Kranvagn, just like the Emil II before it, boasts absolutely incredible frontal turret armor which, when used in combination with its 12 degrees of gun depression, is absolutely impenetrable to any round in the game - even a Jagdpanzer E 100’s 420mm-of-penetration HEAT rounds - save for 2 tiny cupolas which require you to be sitting on an Indian Burial Ground to actually get hit there.

The Kranvagn’s mobility is also impressive for a Heavy Tank, allowing it to mobilise across various areas of a ridgeline to always have the high ground, or position itself in differing hull down locations with ease before unloading its ruthless 120mm autoloader into its helpless opposition.

I intentionally missed out certain excellent hull down/ridgeline warriors in this article such as the Emil I, Emil II, T30, T32, and T34 simply because they were too similar to tanks already in the list, like the Patriot, T29, or Kranvagn. Other than those mentioned, were there any of your favorite ridge line warriors that didn’t quite make my cut?
