Top 10 Biggest Fails in PlayStation History

The titans of home-consoles haven't always made brilliant decisions.

Rumble Disappeared

Playing games these days is about as real as it gets. With resolutions getting larger and crisper, consoles becoming more powerful, and games looking gorgeous, everything is sucking you in and building immersion. Even controllers have improved greatly, just look at the PS4 controller with its touch screen - and let’s be friendly here, the Xbox One’s rumbling triggers are awesome.

However, it wasn’t always like this. Back when PlayStation 3 first launched, Sony made the brilliant (read: stupid) decision to remove the rumble from their Dualshock controllers. Known as the SIXAXIS controller, it lacked any kind of rumble feature, and while it was extremely light, there was nothing to it. The controller felt cheap and fragile.

Thankfully, Sony patched things up with the company behind the rumble technology and we were blessed with the SIXAXIS Dualshock 3 controller in the next batch of PlayStation 3s. But it was a dark time for vibration-loving gamers out there.
