5 Possible Conflicts to Set the Next Battlefield In

The Battlefield franchise needs to visit these famous moments from history.

Gulf War

The Gulf War spans a period of time in the early 90s, and is most commonly referred to as Operation Desert Storm. This war took place in and around Saudi Arabia in response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

In recent years, Battlefield has been making a name for itself as a series with a strong singleplayer campaign. It used to be that, if you wanted strong narrative, you would look elsewhere, but with the overwhelming success of Battlefield 1, DICE have solidified their position as superb storytellers.

The Gulf War offers numerous opportunities for stories, especially given that the Middle East is known for its tension. While the desert doesn't offer a wide variety of environmental options, the combat and narrative that is possible far outweights this minor detail. Experiencing this recent war, through the lens of Battlefield, would be a gamer's dream come true.
