7 Tanks You Have to Play At Least Once

Every World of Tanks player should try these seven vehicles at least once.

Churchill GC

The Churchill GC is so abysmally terrible, it achieved the infamous title of the least played vehicle across all servers throughout the month of August, excluding unobtainable Premium vehicles. There's a good reason for this, the Churchill GC is God-awful in every single way imaginable.

The Churchill GC is slow, poorly armored, and can barely aim - everyone has to experience rock bottom at some point in their tanking career.

So why would anyone want to play this vehicle? They wouldn't, and that's exactly why they have to. Really you can pick any dreadful vehicle, say a Sturer Emil, to truly comprehend what a terrible tank is. I hear far too often "oh, I didn't enjoy the Insert Tank Name Here, it's a dreaful Tank!" or "It's the worst tank in the game!" No. You don't know the true meaning of terrible.

Back to the Churchill GC – what makes it so terrible? Sure, its gun isn't too bad. The penetration is high, the base dispersion seems decent, and the alpha damage isn't all too shabby, seems fine to me. Right? Wrong! You have a gun traverse arc of 10 degrees! If you want to aim at anything besides your friendly Artillery pieces, you're going to have to constantly move your hull to lead them, which is great fun when your dispersion soft stats are disgustingly poor and you turn like a boat.

The Churchill is a hybrid tank, joining a Heavy tank line to a Tank Destroyer line, and it rejects the strengths of both. It has thin, flat, completely useless armor and a tall profile capable of being hit, penetrated, and decimated by even the most febrile enemy.

Seriously, play this tank so you have an even greater appreciation for the next one on the list…
