7 Reasons the PS5 is Coming in 2018

Why Rockstar is the real winner if the PS5 drops in 2018.

Sony’s Weak E3 Showing

Sony showed off a lot of games during their E3 2017 showcase, but missing from the party were release dates for what fans should expect in Q4 (October to December) 2017. Besides Gran Turismo Sport, which doesn’t have a definitive release date, there’s nothing exclusive releasing in Q4 that PS4 owners should get excited about. Perhaps this weak showing is an indication that something big is coming.

Additionally, there were two previously announced games missing from Sony’s E3 2017 press conference; Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part II. Both will be PlayStation exclusives, and both would make fantastic launch titles for the PS5 in 2018. In fact, the PS5 will need strong launch titles, and if those two are indeed in development for the PS5, that would explain why they were nowhere to be seen during Sony’s E3 presentation.
