9 Tips to Get Better at Battlefield 1

Follow these tips to improve your skills and become a better player in Battlefield 1.

PTFO…Strategically

“Play the fucking objective” is practically a mantra for Battlefield players. While this concept may seem intuitive, it’s still easy to miss the point of what playing the objective really means. Playing the objective is more than just going in guns-blazing to secure a capture point. It involves thoughtful maneuvering, teamwork, and a level of tactical skill.

When the enemy team secures an objective, your knee-jerk reaction may be to run over to the flag as fast as you can to try and secure the area. While your intentions are in the right place, it’s still important that you go about it strategically so that you don’t end up feeding kills and tickets to the enemy team.

Going for kills in Domination is ideal, but focusing solely on kills in Rush will get you nowhere.

Assuming a capture point has enemy players defending it nearby, consider where these players might be hiding and try to hunt them down first. Move with your squad, and defend or revive one another as best as possible. Make sure there’s at least one Medic and one Support in your squad for added sustain if you intend to stick around after capturing. Think about how your class role factors into your team’s ability to take an objective, and work towards your strengths. Squads that tactically “PTFO” are usually the ones at the top of the leaderboards at the end of a match in Battlefield 1.

Hopefully these tips will help you refine your multiplayer skills, become a top tier player, and just plain get better at Battlefield 1.
