7 Games We Want Hacked Onto the SNES Classic

These games aren’t included on the SNES Classic, so we want them hacked on.

Pilotwings

Pilotwings is a Nintendo brand, a title that they own and control, so it’s the one game on this list that should make the most sense to be included on the SNES Classic. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s a game players will need to hack onto the SNES if they want to play it!

Pilotwings is unlike anything else released on the SNES. It’s a calming game where you use various aircraft to fly around and complete stages. It’s an amateur flying simulator where nothing is too serious, and you can just enjoy the view from a hang glider.

Though it was mainly serene, Pilotwings did pose some challenges as the levels increased in complexity. Each event typically required the player to soar through the air, hitting floating checkpoints within a time limit. All manner of aircraft could be unlocked, from light planes and hang gliders, to skydiving parachutes and a jetpack-like rocket belt!

Nintendo really dropped the ball by not including Pilotwings on the SNES Classic – it was even a launch title for the original SNES! Come on.
