How to Remove the HUD in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

No more of that ugly HUD getting in the way of your favorite PUBG screenshots.

This guide will show players how to remove the HUD while playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC, allowing them to take better in-game screenshots.

At any point while you’re in a match of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you can remove the HUD by pressing Ctrl + U on your keyboard.

There should be a law against trying to take beautiful screenshots with the HUD on.

When the HUD is disabled, you can take a screenshot in PUBG by pressing F12 on your keyboard. This is the default key for taking a screenshot while playing any game in Steam. You’ll know it’s worked if you get a brief audio clip that sounds like a camera taking a photo.

Once you’ve captured your screenshot, press Ctrl + U a second time and the HUD will return, allowing you to continue the match as normal.

View and then Screenshots in Steam will show you all in-game images you've captured.

After you exit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Steam should recognize that you’ve taken a screenshot and display it for you automatically, but if it doesn’t, you can manually navigate to the screenshots you’ve taken on Steam by clicking View and then Screenshots.

From here you can use the Show on Disk option to navigate to the folder where your screenshots have been saved, and then it’s up to you what you do with them.
