Xbox One X vs PS4 Pro - Which is Better?

The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X go head to head in five categories.

Backwards Compatibility

The backwards compatibility program with the Xbox family of consoles, which includes the Xbox One X, is truly a wonderful thing. Gamers can already enjoy lots of Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One, and soon, they will also be able to play original Xbox Games. Sony, on the other hand, does have the PS Now program, which has more than 450 PS3 titles in it, so it’s a close race. What gives the Xbox One X the slight advantage here is that their list will also include original Xbox titles, and in general, Microsoft has put a lot more focus into the backwards compatibility program than Sony has. Maybe that’s to make up for their lack of hard-hitting exclusives? Either way, this round, although just barely, goes to the Xbox One X.

Just like a reality television show where the winner squeaks through by the narrowest of margins, this fun (yet completely meaningless) list has the PS4 Pro winning three rounds to two. The PS4 Pro has first-party VR support, better exclusive games, and a much more appealing price point. The Xbox One X is the more powerful piece of hardware, and it has a slight edge in the backwards compatibility focus.
