IS-6
Rounding off our list of most fun tanks in World of Tanks is the IS-6, the Soviet Union’s Tier 8 Premium Heavy tank. The IS-6, though it might not be as powerful as its former self, is like that old friend you can go years without seeing and then pick up right where you left off.
The IS-6 is just so approachable and easy to handle, it offers excellent armor that can bounce shells for days and that’s before you angle it correctly or decide to side-scrape. Even when using AP rounds it can penetrate enemies, but if you come up against a wall, spamming APCR won’t erode your earnings because it rakes in the cash.
Sometimes, after a dozen frustrating battles, all you want to do is jump into an IS-6 and fire APCR rounds at enemy Heavy tanks that have too much armor. You don’t care how dirty it is because it feels good.
World of Tanks can be challenging, whether it’s coming up against extremely organized teams, your shells not penetrating, or maybe you’re just having a bad day. But rest assured, there will always be a whole lot of tanks that are just plain fun to play.
