Best British Tank Lines in World of Tanks

Learn about some of the best British tank lines you can play in World of Tanks.

British Tank Destroyer Tank Line

Tankers who've followed the above Heavy tank line down past Tier 5 will be able to easily jump over to one of the best British Tank Destroyer tank lines. This British TD line concludes with the FV215b 183.

Ending with the Death Star, the British Tank Destroyer tank line dangles a rewarding carrot.

At Tier 6, players who researched the Churchill I will be able to jump to the Churchill Gun Carrier, a transitional tank that bridges the gap from Heavy tank line to TD tank line. However, tankers looking for a pure TD tank line can begin at Tier 2 with the UC 2-pdr.

In World of Tanks, the first few tiers are considered extremely difficult and more of a training ground, with the “real” game beginning in the mid to high tiers. For this reason, we’ll begin with the AT 2, a Tier 5 TD and one of the best Tank Destroyers of its tier in World of Tanks. This TD has ridiculous amounts of armor for its tier and a high DPM. But, as with the Churchill I, its tracks are the primary target for the enemy.

At Tier 8, the AT 15 is an odd sort of Tank Destroyer that suffers from poor alpha values. To make up for this, the AT 15 boasts an immense rate of fire, especially on its 17-pdr gun. Couple this with its wide gun angles and thick armor, and the AT 15 can bully enemies that get too close and stay too still.

Finally the FV215b 183, lovingly referred to as the “Death Star.” Any tank that sits in its line-of-sight for too long will be blown out of the water with this Tank Destroyer’s phenomenal alpha damage and penetration. Just try not to miss, as the reload time will have you sweating as enemies close in. Granted, with excellent armor and a wide traverse, the FV215b 183 will have you laughing all the way to the bank with credits from “damage caused.”
