USSR Tank Destroyer Tank Line
While the USSR isn’t primarily known for its TDs, there's a perfectly enjoyable USSR Tank Destroyer tank line in World of Tanks.
Starting all the way in Tier 2 with the AT-1, the TD line continues in a linear fashion up to Tier 7 where the line splits and two options become available. However, the USSR tank line we’ll be discussing here ends with the Object 263.
The first few tiers in World of Tanks are arguably the most difficult, so the goal is to reach Tier 5 where you can begin playing the SU-85. With a dispersion of 0.32, the SU-85 is an accurate TD that can hit a target with ease. In addition, the SU-85 boasts a top speed of 55 km/h, giving it the ability to reach ideal positions and relocate quickly during a battle.
At Tier 8, fans of Tank Destroyers are offered the SU-101, a TD that utilizes excellent mobility and speed, generous camouflage values, as well as competitive penetration and damage. Another benefit of this TD is that tankers can work toward the 122mm M62-C2, an optional gun but one that's required in the Tier 9 TD in order to reach the Object 263. This saves time and keeps tankers at a lower Tier level so as to avoid unnecessary challenges.
