Campaign
Call of Duty: WW2’s story campaign will focus on the U.S. 1st Infantry Division (known as the ‘Bloody 1st’) as they work to support allied forces from both Britain and France in the fight against Germany. Players will get to experience iconic moments that defined World War II such as storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, the liberation of Paris, and the Allied blitz into central Germany. From a gameplay perspective, players will control a fresh 19-year-old 1st Infantry recruit from Texas named Ronald “Red” Daniels, and they’ll be supported by various NPC allies who will be played by various Hollywood actors such as Jeffrey Pierce, Jonathan Tucker, and Josh Duhamel.
During the livestream event, it was also confirmed that the story campaign will feature occasional segues during which the player will get to see the war through the eyes of various members of the French and British military, adding new narrative angles onto the tale of the 1st Infantry Division.
