5 Historic Settings We Want To See In The Next Battlefield Game

World War I could only be the beginning.

The American Revolution

If the subject matter of the Civil War feels a bit too grim for players’ tastes, another alternative could be to go back even farther in time to the period when the fledgling Colonial American populace rose up against its British oppressors in what would later become known as the American Revolution.

Such a setting would allow for a rather diverse cast of playable sub-factions within the established American and British sides (Continental Infantry, Redcoats, Hessians, American Minutemen, and Native Americans to name a few). Similar to the Civil War, DICE would already have plenty of infamous battles to work with such as the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Battle of Monmouth, the Battles of Lexington and Concord, and the Siege of Yorktown, to name a few.
