5 Historic Settings We Want To See In The Next Battlefield Game

World War I could only be the beginning.

The Civil War

World War I may be one of the bloodiest global conflicts in human history, but one event that was much more devastating to the American populace was the American Civil War. A Battlefield game set within the Civil War could once again draw attention to the horrors of war through an expansive story campaign (much like what DICE did with Battlefield 1’s War Stories).

Furthermore, the faction-based conflict between the Union and Confederate forces would lend itself well to a multiplayer setup. Not to mention how DICE could turn to famous Civil War battles like the sacking of Atlanta, the Siege of Petersburg, and the infamous Battle of Gettysburg as inspiration for both story campaign and multiplayer locations.
