Heavy Tanks are often the go-to recommendation for new players as their traits allow for more forgiving gameplay, but what if you want to stray away from the norm? Mediums Tanks are probably your best bet.
It should be noted that, while these tanks have a low skill floor and enable inexperienced players to have a fighting chance, that doesn’t mean that only noobs should acknowledge this list. M4A3E2 Sherman “Jumbo”
The Jumbo Sherman is the very definition of noob-friendly. Using the stock turret in combination with its 105mm howitzer provides you with phenomenal armor values for a Tier 6 Tank, and ensures you don’t have to worry about weak spots too much. Just sling High Explosive at anything red and shrug off most return fire.
The 10 degrees of gun depression should allow you to avoid gun depression woes, and the short range mobility is surprisingly good; decent power-to-weight ratio, and an effective traverse speed of around 40 degrees per second on both hard and medium terrain.
